I am an Italian-American contemporary jewelry designer and founder of Albedo. My practice explores light, structure, movement and transformation through sculptural and modular jewelry. I work with geometric forms, articulated structures and natural gemstones, focusing on balance, proportion and wearability. I am also exploring ceramic and glass within silver jewelry through collaborations with Italian artisans, combining contemporary design with traditional craftsmanship. My goal is to create distinctive jewelry concepts that can move between artistic expression and functional, wearable design.

Our Story
Founded in January 2026 by Italian-American Writer and jewelry designer Ilaria Sabatini Taliaferro, Albedo is an independent contemporary jewelry brand exploring the relationship between light, structure, movement and transformation. Rooted in a multicultural perspective and a passion for sculptural design, Albedo creates original jewelry concepts that combine geometric forms, modular structures and natural gemstones. The brand is also exploring ceramic and glass through collaborations with Italian artisans, bringing contemporary design together with traditional craftsmanship.
Collections
Coeso is a contemporary modular jewelry collection exploring the relationship between geometric structure, movement and light. Its distinctive articulated design combines elongated geometric links, circular elements and gemstone details, creating a refined balance between architectural form and fluid movement. Designed to move naturally with the wearer, Coeso transforms through movement and light, expressing Albedo’s approach to sculptural yet wearable jewelry.
